Dargaville
By Northland standards, Dargaville is a pretty big town.
It is also a superb place to base yourself for exploring the south western part of Northland.
There are some great places to stay, some excellent shops and plenty of top places to eat.
Many visitors to Northland seem to bypass Dargaville in their rush north or south!
In our view this is a serious mistake.
Dargaville has a lot to offer - both as a touring base and as a great town in its own right.
