Bowood Park Golf Club
Terrain = Rolling parkland surrounded by open countryside. Lots of mature trees.
Some water hazards. A few steep hills.

Difficulty = Quite a stern test. You'll need power and accuracy to post a decent score
here. There are a few fairly easy holes, but there are also some monsters. Handicap
golfers - make wise use of the shots you receive - treat the long holes with respect or
they will eat you alive!

Condition = Well tended, Good quality, medium speed greens. Some parts of the
course can get boggy during prolonged periods of rain.
Note:- the greens here are excellent, but they take a lot of looking after and are often
being worked on. Check before you book.

Recommended for:
Golfers of all standards - use your shots wisely. Excellent choice for a stay and play
break. Great for golf societies.

Green Fees 2013 = Very reasonable - especially if you take advantage of the stay and
play bargains on offer all year round.

Societies are extremely welcome - Bowood Park is easily one of the best choices in
Cornwall for a golf society day or a short break

Clubhouse
Bowood Park Hotel doubles as the clubhouse. Very modern.
Excellent changing rooms and showers. Comfortable bar with a nice informal
atmosphere. Superb food.
Bowood Park Golf Course
Bowood Park is a beautiful, rolling parkland course, set in an ancient deer park that
was once owned by the Black Prince.
These days Bowood Park is a very nice hotel and golf club - and easily one of the
best venues in Cornwall to stay and play. The Bowood Park Golf Hotel offers some
amazing deals for golf-breaks throughout the year.

The course is lovely - offering a variety of holes - some quite benign, some quite
terrifying. Most memorable are the monster par 5 seventh - measuring 645 yards
from the back tee! And the twelfth - a par 4 that will take your breath away - but this
hole is a card-wrecker! Out of bounds left, a river right, and an island green protected
by some very tall trees.
